Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Business Intelligence Engineer to design, deliver, and optimize BI resources for capacity delivery reliability. You will analyze vast data, build dashboards, and partner with data engineers to automate reporting for leaders across AWS Infrastructure Services.

Qualifications

• Experience with statistical analytics and programming languages such as R, Python, Ruby.
• 5+ years of experience as Data Analyst, Data Engineer, BI Analyst, or related role.
• 5+ years processing large, multi‑dimensional datasets from multiple sources.
• 5+ years using SQL, ETL, or Oracle.
• Experience with operations/supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of scalable BI solutions (metrics, reports, dashboards) to support analytical needs.
• Collaborate with customers to understand business problems and propose analyses.
• Partner with data engineers to develop automated solutions.
• Develop understanding of data sources and select appropriate data to solve problems.
• Manage prioritization of BI requests and communicate with customers.
• Create user-friendly, repeatable reporting solutions to minimize ad hoc requests.
• Serve as senior SME for SQL and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
• Write high-quality SQL to retrieve and analyze data from relational databases (e.g., AWS Redshift).
• Maintain internal data documentation and data dictionaries.
