Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Business Intelligence Engineer to build interactive, AI-augmented reporting experiences for leaders.

You will sit at the intersection of BI, data engineering and frontend engineering, turning data into usable tools and narratives within lightweight web applications. Collaborate with data engineers, product managers and business leaders to translate ambiguous needs into shipped solutions across AWS teams.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of development/programming/scripting language experience (Python/Java/Bash/Perl).
• Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent.
• Experience writing SQL queries and creating BI reports using Tableau, Power BI.
• 1+ years of professional/project experience building web interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript using a modern framework.

Responsibilities

• Design and build interactive reporting experiences as lightweight web applications (HTML/CSS/JS, React or similar).
• Build and consume serverless APIs (AWS API Gateway, Lambda, Python) that feed governed data to applications.
• Contribute to and maintain tests covering rendering, state behavior, and full user flows.
• Model and transform data (SQL, Python) to power those experiences.
• Integrate generative AI capabilities into reporting surfaces where they add signal.
• Use AI-assisted development tooling to accelerate delivery and establish best practices.
• Partner with data engineers, product managers, and business leaders to translate reporting needs into tools.
• Contribute to design and component systems to align with the team.
