Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to design, build and optimize data pipelines, dashboards and metrics for AWS Infrastructure Services. You will partner with business leaders to translate data into actionable insights and influence decision-making.

You’ll operate in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, solving complex problems with large datasets, advanced SQL and Python, and a passion for scalable analytics across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math/Stats/Econ or related field.
• Experience extracting, transforming and cleaning large (multi-TB) data sets.
• 5+ years of SQL experience.
• 5+ years as Data Analyst, Data Engineer, BI Analyst, or related role.
• 1+ years of SQL, ETL or Oracle experience.
• 1+ years handling large, multi-dimensional data from multiple sources.
• 1+ years of statistical analysis experience.
• 1+ years of automated reporting development.
• Experience with experiments design and statistical analysis of results.
• Scripting for automation (Python) and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with information retrieval, data science, ML and data mining.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated reporting systems and dashboards.
• Apply analytic and BI skills to extract insights from large data sets.
• Hands-on ETL to build data pipelines for automated reporting.
• Liaise between business and technical teams to provide actionable insights.
• Build data visualizations to tell stories of trends and outliers.
• Adopt best practices in reporting, data integrity, testing and documentation.
