Job summary

AnswersNow Inc is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to own data architecture, semantic layer design, and AI‑driven analytics. This fully remote role, based in the United States, partners with cross‑functional teams to deliver trusted insights that scale the platform and support autism therapy outcomes.

You will build dbt models, manage QuickSight environments, and apply AI‑native BI concepts while maintaining data quality. A 4+ year background in data/BI roles and strong SQL are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or BI architecture.
• Deep SQL proficiency and data modeling mindset.
• Hands-on QuickSight experience or comparable BI platform and ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Familiarity with AI-native BI tools, LLM-assisted BI features, or QuickSight AI features.
• Strong communication to explain data models to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work with business stakeholders to understand domain context.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain dbt models encoding business logic and dimensional structures.
• Enforce consistent metric definitions across the semantic layer.
• Translate definitions alignment work into concrete dbt implementations.
• Document data models clearly for analysts and stakeholders.
• Own the QuickSight environment end-to-end (data sources, SPICE, refresh, access controls).
• Architect the QuickSight layer for multi-domain dashboards and maintainability.
