Job summary

Bestow is seeking a data analytics professional to join the Analytics team. You will span analytics engineering and insights, building data products and automation that serve external partners and internal stakeholders.

You’ll use SQL and cloud data pipelines to transform data, visualize results in Tableau and other tools, and collaborate with engineers and analysts to improve decision making across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with SQL and data analysis in cloud data warehouses.
• Experience with dbt and Airflow for data transformation and scheduling.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile development, CI/CD and GitHub.
• Ability to model data and design schemas for analytics.
• Experience reducing compute costs with optimized queries.

Responsibilities

• Automate data transformation pipelines using SQL, dbt, CI/CD, GitHub, and Google Cloud.
• Create intuitive data products with Tableau to help partners understand their data.
• Communicate with stakeholders and engineers to clarify requirements and opportunities.
• Develop subject matter expertise in the insurance domain to anticipate needs.
• Adopt data governance best practices to improve data quality and controls.
• Build data validation checks and automated unit tests for reliable analytics.
• Collaborate with other data analysts and engineers to share work and cross-train.
• Maintain data quality via automated monitoring and alerting, including on-call rotation.
• Foster growth and development within the team; share ownership and ideas.
