Job summary

National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is seeking a Senior BI Developer to design and build Power BI semantic data models, dashboards, and self-service reporting solutions. You will mentor junior developers, apply best practices, and ensure reports are accurate, scalable, and widely adopted across clinical, operations, and financial domains.

Remote-friendly / Hybrid role requiring collaboration across U.S. time zones and periodic travel to NVA offices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on BI/reporting experience delivering enterprise Power BI solutions.
• Expert-level Power BI with advanced DAX and semantic data model design.
• Experience designing star-schema models and secure data access patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust Power BI semantic data models and dashboards.
• Implement BI governance, lineage, and deployment pipelines across the enterprise.
• Develop AI-enabled self-service reporting using Claude-assisted insights and Fabric integration.
• Partner with clinical, operational, and financial teams to deliver scalable BI solutions.
• Lead the full BI lifecycle from requirements to deployment and user adoption.
