Ascend Learning, LLC is seeking a seasoned BI/Tableau Analyst to design and deliver scalable dashboards across our education and healthcare brands. You’ll work with partners to translate needs into data-driven solutions, leveraging Snowflake, EDW structures, and SSMS for data prep and validation.

The role emphasizes data storytelling, KPI design, and dashboard usability, with remote work within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Analytics, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of expert Tableau experience, with complex calculations and performance-optimized dashboards
• Strong SQL skills; hands-on SSMS experience
• Snowflake and EDW experience
• Ability to analyze data from diverse sources and ensure accuracy
• Experience with Agile environments and prioritization
• Excellent communication for diverse audiences
• Self-starter with attention to detail and visualization quality
• Experience with enterprise DBs: SSMS, SQL Server, DB2, Oracle
• BI tools: Tableau preferred; also Qlik, Power BI, Cognos
• Tableau Server/Cloud administration preferred
• R, Python, or C# experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced, modern Tableau dashboards with best-practice UI/UX and performance
• Collaborate with business partners to translate analytical needs into BI solutions
• Prepare datasets using Snowflake and EDW structures; validate data in reporting
• Provide clear data insights to stakeholders at all levels to inform decisions
• Advise on data storytelling, KPI design, and dashboard usability
• Manage multiple high-complexity projects with transparency and on-time delivery
• Coach BI team members in Tableau best practices and data modeling
• Enhance custom reporting capabilities for quality and scalability
• Serve as SME in data ingestion, cleansing, modeling, and visualization
• Recommend streamlined analytic approaches leveraging product knowledge
