Job summary

Ascend Learning is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Healthcare Operations Center of Excellence. The role translates business requirements into scalable BI solutions and builds advanced Tableau dashboards with UI/UX optimization.

You will partner with stakeholders, leverage Snowflake and EDW structures, and apply SQL to prepare optimized datasets. The position offers hybrid work from our Burlington, MA or Leawood, KS offices, with remote options across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, business, analytics or related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of expert Tableau experience with complex calculations and dashboards.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on SSMS experience.
• Experience with Snowflake and enterprise data warehousing environments.
• Knowledge of BI tools including Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Cognos or similar.
• Experience with Agile environments and effective prioritization.
• Excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced Tableau dashboards with UI/UX best practices.
• Translate analytical needs into scalable BI solutions with partners.
• Prepare, optimize, and validate datasets using Snowflake and EDW.
• Provide clear data insights to stakeholders to inform decisions.
• Advise on data storytelling, KPI design, and dashboard usability.
• Manage multiple high-complexity projects to on-time delivery.
• Coach BI team members in Tableau and data modeling.
• Oversee and enhance custom reporting for long-term value.
• Serve as SME in data ingestion, cleansing, modeling, and visualization.
