Job summary

Wish You Were Here Group in New York is seeking a Beverage Manager to curate and lead a standout beverage program across our NYC concepts, partnering with the General Manager to oversee daily operations and guest experience.

You will design cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic options, train staff on presentation and pairings, monitor inventory and costs, and drive revenue growth while staying ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hospitality management with beverage program focus.
• Proven ability to develop and execute innovative, profitable beverage programs.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Experience managing P&L, labor models and operations systems.
• Background in hospitality, business or related fields is a plus.
• Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Office and related tools.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a standout beverage program featuring cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic options.
• Train and inspire staff on beverage presentation, preparation, and pairings.
• Monitor inventory, control costs, and identify opportunities for increased revenue.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, introducing fresh, exciting beverage offerings.
• Collaborate with Corporate Beverage Director to maintain company standards.
• Support General Manager in managing front-of-house operations.
• Lead by example, fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team.
• Manage scheduling, performance reviews, and team-building initiatives.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures and ensure health and sanitation compliance.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism and care.
