Job summary

Wish You Were Here Group in New York is seeking a Beverage Manager to curate and lead a standout beverage program across our NYC concepts, partnering with the General Manager to oversee daily operations and guest experience.

You will design cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic options, train staff on presentation and pairings, monitor inventory and costs, and drive revenue growth while staying ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hospitality management with beverage program focus.
• Proven ability to develop and execute innovative, profitable beverage programs.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Experience managing P&L, labor models and operations systems.
• Background in hospitality, business or related fields is a plus.
• Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Office and related tools.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team.
• Manage scheduling, performance reviews, and team-building initiatives.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures and ensure health and sanitation compliance.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism and care.

About the Role

As the Beverage Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of curating and managing our beverage program, introducing creative and profitable offerings that complement our menu. You’ll also work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, ensuring a smooth and welcoming guest experience.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of hospitality management experience, with a strong focus on beverage programs.
• Proven ability to develop and execute an innovative, profitable beverage program.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Experience managing P&L statements, labor models, and operational systems.
• A background in hospitality, business, or related fields is a plus.
• Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Office, and operational tech tools.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
