Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Bar Manager in New York to oversee the entire beverage program and bar team. You will promote standards, hire and train staff, ensure top quality drinks and service, and manage inventory and vendor contracts.

You will lead cost controls, set schedules, and drive events to increase profits while maintaining exceptional guest experiences. Strong leadership and beverage-specific knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervising and managing a high-volume F&B operation.
• Proven track record of leading a professional, efficient, high quality, service-oriented operation.
• Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented with excellent interpersonal/relationship building skills.
• Must be proficient in MICROS POS, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must have proven success managing P&L’s, supervisory, coaching and staff development experience.
• A four-year Degree in Hospitality and/or Restaurant Management preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ongoing betterment of all aspects of the beverage program, from product to process and from engaging staff to developing staff.
• Maintain and improve beverage cost KPI’s to ensure optimal financial performance and profitability as determined by company metrics.
• Maintain quality control and consistency throughout menu creation and process compliance by the entire beverage team.
• Be present in front-of-house during shifts, engage with members and guests, and enhance the member experience.
• Support bar and floor staff as supervisor, POS operator, scheduling coordinator and co-manager.
• Ensure procedures and standards are communicated and staff are trained on options with guests.
• Maintain safe, productive work environment and efficient bar operation.
• Organize regular team meetings, trainings, and product knowledge sessions.
• Collaborate with US Support team to leverage vendor relationships and maximize profits.
• Manage inventory, staffing, scheduling, and purchasing.
