Middle River Power, LLC is seeking a BESS Technician II to perform advanced maintenance, diagnostics, and system optimization on battery energy storage facilities. The role requires leading safety-critical work and mentoring junior technicians.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical foundations, extensive HV experience, and exposure to SCADA/I&C, NFPA 70E, and NERC standards. On-site work in power facilities with rigorous safety protocols and collaboration with engineers is required.

Competenze

• Minimum 6 years in BESS operations, maintenance, or commissioning or related electrical systems.
• Strong experience with high‑voltage systems, transformers, switchgear, and protection relays.
• Experience with SCADA and I&C systems preferred.
• Familiarity with NERC PRC/CIP and NFPA 70E/70B standards strongly preferred.
• Able to mentor Level 1 Technicians and lead safety-critical work.

Mansioni

• Perform advanced preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on BESS equipment including batteries, inverters, transformers, protection systems, switchgear, and auxiliaries.
• Lead troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and control system issues with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Conduct complex testing, calibrations, and diagnostics of HV and LV systems.
• Oversee HV switching, isolation, grounding, and commissioning per safety procedures.
• Mentor Level 1 Technicians and collaborate with engineers, OEMs, and contractors.
• Support commissioning, start-up, and acceptance testing of new or upgraded facilities.
• Contribute to RCFA and reliability improvements; participate in safety programs.
