Job summary

The AES Corporation, a leading US-based global power company, is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer - Systems Integration to own how BESS subsystems come together in the field. You will lead end-to-end systems engineering, define requirements, and ensure safe, reliable operation across diverse project environments.

Responsibilities include reviewing designs, integrating subsystems, applying safety standards, supporting prototype and production, and mentoring junior engineers while driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in BESS or complex electromechanical system development and integration.
• Familiarity with BESS safety codes and standards such as UL 9540/9540A, NFPA and applicable electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end systems engineering for BESS products from requirements to deployment and operation.
• Develop and maintain system-level requirements, ICDs, specifications, and compliance matrices.
• Integrate subsystems including energy storage, PCS, safety, controls, and communications.
• Review and approve BESS electrical/controls designs including schematics, wiring, BOMs, and integration docs.
• Interpret and apply BESS safety codes and standards (UL, IEC, NFPA, IFC).
• Support prototype builds, certification testing, and production transition with validated plans.
