Job summary

Dexian is seeking an innovative Battery Technology & Sizing Lead to join the Utility Scale Energy Storage team. The role demands SME-level evaluation of battery tech, PCS, and alternative storage solutions, with a focus on BESS sizing, system optimization, and project-specific requirements.

You will own sizing methodologies, manage assumptions and losses, and drive tool improvements using Excel/VBA, Python, and Power BI, while collaborating with Engineering, Development and Supply Chain to

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in utility-scale BESS sizing and optimization.
• Experience with AC/DC sizing, degradation, and thermal effects.
• Background with energy storage technologies and project operating requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead BESS sizing methodology, assumptions, and optimization for interconnection to substation.
• Develop end-to-end sizing from interconnection through DC system and battery.
• Maintain sizing tools and ensure up-to-date equipment ratings.
• Review sizing results with Engineering, Development, and Supply Chain.
• Develop engineering tools to automate sizing and performance forecasts.
