About the role:

We're looking for a Sr Engineer BESS Technology Subject Matter Expert on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment. (W-2) The Utility Scale Energy Storage team is looking for an engineer to serve as the Battery Technology & Sizing Lead in an important Sr. Engineering role. You will report to the onsite manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) for utility-scale BESS sizing, providing technical leadership on sizing methodology, assumptions, optimization, and project-specific sizing decisions.
• Improve engineering tools that automate BESS sizing, technical evaluations, battery performance forecast, and repetitive engineering workflows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ year of experience.
