Job summary

Intersect is seeking an experienced BESS Operations Engineer to own performance, safety, and reliability of utility-scale storage. You will analyze data, lead RCA on faults, and collaborate with field teams and OEMs to reduce downtime.

You will shape fleet health by tracking SOC, availability, cycling, and capacity, documenting lessons learned, and leading design reviews to uplift future projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; MS/PhD preferred.
• 5+ years in utility-scale power or storage with field support.
• Deep knowledge of BESS architectures and OEM variations.
• Experience leading RCA on electrical/thermal/controls failures.
• Strong ability to analyze telemetry and history data.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to sites in Texas and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Lead RCA on complex electrical/thermal/controls failures and implement corrective actions.
• Review faults and telemetry to rapidly resolve site issues while minimizing downtime and safety risks.
• Travel to operating sites to assess equipment and provide technical feedback to field teams.
