Job summary

Intersect is seeking a BESS Operations Engineer to own the technical performance, safety, and reliability of our utility-scale battery energy storage fleet. You will analyze operational data, lead root cause analyses on equipment faults, and partner with field teams and OEMs to resolve complex issues.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in power generation or storage, deep BESS knowledge, and telemetry analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in utility-scale power generation or storage.
• Deep technical knowledge of BESS architectures and proven track record leading root cause analysis.
• Strong analytical skills in BESS telemetry; ability to travel up to 25% to operating sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead BESS troubleshooting, reliability, and root cause analyses using telemetry data to mitigate downtime.
• Optimize fleet performance by validating data collection and coordinating system upgrades.
• Manage OEM technical relationships and warranties to protect asset value and ensure performance guarantees.
