Nidec is seeking a Senior BESS Field Service Technician to support utility-scale energy storage systems across Texas and North America. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot BMS/PCS, and lead complex field issues while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree in Electrical Technology or related discipline; NFPA 70E and OSHA-10 required.
• Valid Driver's License; U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.
• 3–5 years in utility-scale BESS, solar, wind, or related electrical work.
• Experience with power electronics, AC/DC, and SCADA systems; read drawings.
• Experience with diagnostic test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, etc.).
• Certifications (NETA/NABCEP) preferred; military training accepted.

Aufgaben

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on utility-scale BESS and components.
• Troubleshooting of BMS, PCS, MV transformers, EMS/SCADA, and related gear.
• Lead complex field troubleshooting and mentor junior technicians.
• Support emergency call-outs and on-call coverage.
• Develop service reports and root-cause analyses.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and Engineering on anomalies.
• Procure and ship parts, issue RMAs, and support commissioning/testing.
• Log customer interactions in Salesforce; maintain safety and records.
