Job summary

Capital One seeks a Principal Associate, Benefits Plan Program Management to own and optimize its Health & Wellness and voluntary benefit programs. You will manage a diversified vendor portfolio, resolve complex issues, and drive strategic initiatives from RFPs to implementation, ensuring smooth operations on the McLean campus.

You will work with HR and cross-functional partners to monitor performance, improve experiences for associates, and communicate program value through data-driven insights

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• 3+ years of experience working with H&W employee benefit plan vendor management.
• MBA or Master’s Degree preferred.
• CEBS or CBP designation preferred.
• 4 years of experience in H&W employee benefits for organizations with 10,000+ employees.
• 5 years of experience with benefits vendor management.
• Experience with benefits governance practices.
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of statistical analysis.
• Solid business acumen, strategic thinker, and problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Vendor management & governance for on-site clinics, pharmacies, dental, vision, life insurance, LTD, AD&PL, mental health, family formation and support, MSK, executive physicals, and commuter benefits.
• Own plan program management; develop vendor networks and relationships with cross-functional partners.
• Monitor SLAs/PGs to ensure vendor delivery per contracts.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Supplier Management for compliance and risk mitigation.
• Manage on-site clinic staffing and campus access.
• Create analytics to derive insights and propose program improvements.
• Handle administrative tasks for assigned plans with urgency and accuracy.
• Maintain internal intranet pages with plan information and FAQs; coordinate with HR Communications.
• Lead cross-functional escalation resolution end-to-end.
• Understand associate experience and suggest improvements; oversee monthly wellbeing newsletter.
• Document SOPs for vendor management and escalation workflows.
• Support RFPs/RFIs for new or expiring benefit programs.
• Stay current on benefits trends and regulatory changes.
