Job summary

Georgia System Operations Corporation (GSOC) is seeking a Senior Benefits Specialist to serve as an advanced expert supporting associate benefit programs across the Family of Companies.

You will own one or more benefits disciplines, maintain cross-portfolio knowledge, and resolve complex eligibility, enrollment, and vendor issues while maintaining audit-ready records and facilitating major enrollment cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with related experience.
• 5+ years in benefits with ownership of at least one complex program.
• Experience supporting multiple benefits disciplines or cross-coverage across a portfolio.
• Vendor management and experience leading cycles, audits, or implementations.
• Experience with an HCM/benefits tech platform and data reporting.
• Ability to interpret plan documents and regulatory guidance with limited direction.
• Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own one or more benefits disciplines and act as primary resource for programs.
• Maintain cross-portfolio knowledge and provide backup coverage.
• Interpret plan provisions and resolve complex eligibility, enrollment, and vendor matters.
• Maintain calendars, procedures, controls, and service standards for timely delivery.
• Coordinate retirement and savings activities, leave, wellness, and related support.
• Support compliance under ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, FMLA, ADA, and other laws.
• Coordinate audits, filings, notices, and corrective actions with audit-ready records.
• Lead user acceptance testing, data validation, and reconciliations across systems.
