Job summary

The University of California, Office of the President in Oakland, CA seeks a TEMPORARY Benefits Program Analyst 4 to provide high-level planning, analysis, and operational support for systemwide health and welfare benefits. Qualifications

• Five years experience in employee benefits program management.
• Knowledge of Health Flexible Spending Account administration and COBRA law relative to continuation of employment benefits.
• Ability to work independently, follow through on assignments with general supervision, and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and highly-developed interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze complex information and to present benefits information clearly and concisely.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to problem-solve client concerns.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply principles of project management.
• Knowledge of UC employee benefits programs is preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to large group health and welfare plans is preferred.
• Certified Employee Benefits Specialist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Primary program responsibilities are for the Health and Dependent Care FSA and COBRA programs.
• Oversee and support the systemwide health and welfare benefits portfolio.
• Assist with management of benefits administration projects spanning the portfolio.
