Job summary

San José State University is seeking a Benefits Services Analyst to deliver high-quality benefits support to university employees. The role blends benefits administration, data management, and cross-functional work with opportunities to contribute to enrollment, audits, and employee experience improvements.

You will work with PeopleSoft, PIMS, MyCalPERS and other systems, coordinating with Payroll and other units to ensure accurate benefit processing and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefits and retirement programs; coordinate leave-related matters.
• Research and resolve benefit-related data across systems.
• Maintain benefits data in PeopleSoft, CHRS, PIMS, MyCalPERS.
• Process benefit plan documents and enrollment changes.
• Enter benefit information into payroll systems and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Payroll and State Controller’s Office on benefit payroll issues.
• Assist with audits, reports, and data reviews.
• Participate in new employee benefits orientations.
