Lakeshore Learning Materials, LLC is seeking a Senior Manager, Benefits to lead a team and drive the design, delivery and continuous improvement of benefits for 3,000+ employees across the U.S., Canada and Asia. You’ll oversee plan administration, open enrollment and relationships with carriers and brokers from our Carson HQ on a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
• 8+ years progressive benefits administration including health, retirement and leave programs.
• 4+ years directly managing people with a track record of developing team members and delivering results through others.
• Hands-on experience administering benefits in an HRIS or benefits platform (Workday, UKG or similar).
• Working knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA and applicable state leave laws.
• Strong communicator who can translate complex plan details clearly for employees, carriers and senior leadership alike.
• Experience managing carrier and broker relationships, including contract renewals and issue resolution.
• Ability to work on-site at our Carson, California, headquarters on a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of three Benefits professionals and coach toward growth.
• Own day-to-day administration of all benefit plans—medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, 401(k) and supplemental coverage.
• Serve as the primary contact for benefit carriers and our broker; manage relationships and resolve coverage issues.
• Lead the annual evaluation of Lakeshore’s benefits offerings—benchmark and present recommendations to leadership.
• Oversee leave-of-absence administration end to end with compliance.
• Plan and execute open enrollment and other benefits events with cross-functional teams.
• Lead financial management of benefit programs by analyzing claims experience and cost trends.
• Partner with brokers, carriers, TPAs and stakeholders to optimize plan design and budgeting.
