Qualifications

• 4+ years progressive experience in a benefits role; supervisory preferred
• 4+ years with benefits plan design and administration of self-insured and fully insured plans
• 4+ years 401k retirement administration
• 4+ years in multi-benefit program environments including welfare and health
• 4+ years HRIS and benefits administration software
• PHR or SHRM-CP preferred upon hire
• Certified Benefits Professional (CPB) - World At Work preferred upon hire
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ADA

Responsibilities

• Administers employee benefit programs (health, wellness, disability, life, voluntary benefits) and ensures compliance with policies and laws
• Manages employer-sponsored 401k retirement plan administration including eligibility, plan reviews, and third-party administrators
• Oversees leaves of absence in accordance with state and federal requirements
• Assists in design and implementation of benefit programs
• Collaborates with brokers, carriers, and vendors to address service or claims issues
• Manages open enrollment communications, presentations, and training sessions
• Provides support on benefit plans, claims, and eligibility inquiries
• Ensures compliance with laws by monitoring legislation and advising management
• Manages a team of benefits support staff
