Job summary

Hunt Companies, Inc. in El Paso, Texas, seeks a Benefits Manager reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources to oversee employee benefits programs, 401(k) administration, and regulatory compliance. You will work with brokers, vendors, and HR leadership to ensure accurate plan design and enrollment.

Responsibilities include managing leaves, communicating with employees, and guiding a team of benefits staff while staying current on ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ADA requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years progressive experience in benefits.
• Experience with self-insured and fully insured plans preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ADA.

Responsibilities

• Administers employee benefit programs (health, wellness, disability, life, voluntary benefits) and ensures compliance.
• Manages employer-sponsored 401(k) plan administration, including eligibility and company match.
• Oversees leaves of absence compliant with state and federal laws.
• Designs and implements benefit programs and coordinates with brokers and vendors.
• Leads open enrollment communications, presentations, and training.
