Job summary

Hunt Companies, Inc. is seeking a Benefits Manager to lead administration of employee benefits programs, including health, disability, life, 401k, and wellness initiatives.

Reporting to the VP of HR, you will collaborate with brokers and vendors to ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ADA. You will oversee leaves, plan design, open enrollment, and staff supervision, delivering clear communications and training while aligning benefits with organizational goals and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years progressive experience in a benefits role; supervisory preferred.
• Experience with self-insured and fully insured plan designs.
• Experience with 401k retirement administration.
• Experience with multi-benefit programs including welfare and health.
• Experience with HRIS and benefits administration software.
• Advanced proficiency in Benefit Plan Design and Foundational HRIS oversight.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ADA.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Administers employee benefit programs such as health, disability, life, and voluntary benefits.
• Administers the employer-sponsored 401k retirement plan, including eligibility and matches.
• Oversees leaves of absence in compliance with state and federal law.
• Assists in the design and implementation of benefit programs.
• Collaborates with brokers, carriers, and vendors to address service or claims issues.
• Manages open enrollment, including communications, presentations, and training.
• Provides support to employees regarding benefit plans and eligibility inquiries.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local requirements and advises management accordingly.
• Manages a team of benefits support staff.
