Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Senior Counsel-Benefits and Total Rewards to join its People Law team within the Tyson Law Department, based at the Springdale, Arkansas location. The role provides day-to-day legal counsel on ERISA and employee benefits matters, including retirement plans, health and welfare programs, and non-qualified arrangements.

The position requires 5-7 years of focused ERISA experience and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of legal experience with ERISA, retirement and health/welfare benefits.
• Strong ability to advise senior management on complex legal matters.
• Experience coordinating with HR, finance, tax and total rewards teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day ERISA and employee benefits counseling.
• Advise on qualified retirement plans, health/welfare plans, and incentive arrangements.
• Support benefits governance, fiduciary responsibilities, and compliance communications.
• Manage responses to IRS, DOL, PBGC audits and inquiries.
• Assist in M&A benefits integration and cross-functional projects.
