Job summary

Summit School Services LLC is seeking a highly analytical Benefits Data Analyst to manage complex benefit data, support ACA processes, and partner with Payroll and HRIS on reconciliations and audits. The role requires expert Excel, experience with vendor systems, and strong regulatory knowledge.

The hybrid position is based at our Warrenville, IL corporate offices, offering collaboration with HR, payroll, and benefits teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
• 5–8 years of experience in benefits administration, leave administration, HR operations, reporting or data analysis.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion, ADP, AbsenceSoft, Benefit Focus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, data validation and reconciliation, and Power Query.
• Knowledge of leave laws and regulations and HR/benefits laws (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA).
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, benefits, and/or leave vendor systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented approach; able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all benefit data files, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Support reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and audit requests related to benefits.
• Extract, manipulate, validate, and reconcile data from vendor systems and internal platforms.
• Collect, compile, and analyze data to provide actionable recommendations.
• Lead the ACA process including hours measurement, coverage testing, and Form 1095 distribution with the IRS.
• Coordinate with 401(k) audit preparations and 5500 filings with external auditors.
• Support Annual Enrollment processes and vendor implementations as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
