Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Behavioral Health Manager to marshal resources for multiple substance use programs, providing counseling access, life planning, and crisis intervention while aligning with federal, state, and contract requirements.

You will lead program development, budgeting, and reporting, supervise program managers and staff, ensure licensing compliance, and maintain data quality across hard copy and EHR records to deliver outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business (or related discipline) required.
• Current Alcohol and Drug Counseling Certification or license (LMFT/LCSW/LPCC) required.
• 3+ years of business/non-profit management with budget oversight.
• 2+ years in policy development and program management.
• Experience in contract management.

Responsibilities

• Lead program development and budgeting for SCADP and VOALA services.
• Ensure CARF accreditation and regulatory requirements are met.
• Oversee workforce management, staffing, and performance management.
• Monitor service delivery quality, data input, and reporting.
• Coordinate funder reporting and grant administration.
• Train and mentor staff on program requirements and EHR usage.
