Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking a Program Manager I to supervise all efforts to fulfill contract and budget goals. You will coordinate community partners, oversee services, and monitor outreach to support participants.

On-site work in Los Angeles, with a competitive benefits package. The role requires a BA in Social Work or related field and several years in program management and staff supervision, including HMIS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related discipline, or 4 years of relevant education/experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in Social Services Program Management, Coordination or Supervision.
• Minimum of 2 years direct experience in Staff Management.
• Fingerprint clearance and background check required.
• Experience with HMIS and databases used by partner providers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee intake, assessments, service planning, and goal attainment.
• Provide training, supervision, and problem-solving for difficult cases.
• Meet grant objectives and adhere to guidelines.
• Coordinate outreach with community partners and landlords.
• Maintain program documentation and compliance with funder rules.
• Communicate project expectations to the team.
• Ensure on-site service delivery and supervise staff.
