Job summary

The Summit Center is a leading provider of evidence-based supports in Western New York. We seek a Senior Behavior Support Technician (Academy) to conduct behavioral assessments, develop intervention plans, and mentor technicians in a collaborative, person-centered environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree (ABA preferred) with 6+ months of relevant ABA experience, and a NYS driver’s license. Competitive benefits and opportunities for professional growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's in ABA preferred.
• At least 6 months of experience as a technician with developmentally disabled individuals using ABA methods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct behavioral assessments and assist in developing behavior plans.
• Guide Behavioral Support Technicians and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist classroom teams with data-based behavioral consultation.
• Complete behavioral assessments and progress reports.
• Train staff in best-practice methods and crisis intervention.
• Ensure IEP mandates are fulfilled and maintain records.
• Adhere to core agency values and employment policies.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
