Job summary

The Summit Center in Amherst, NY seeks a Behavioral Case Manager (SAE) to lead behavioral assessments, develop evidence-based behavior plans, and supervise Behavioral Support Specialists, collaborating with Teachers and clinical leadership to ensure effective treatment implementation.

Requires: BCBA certification (or in progress) and a Master’s degree in ABA or related field; experience building and documenting ABA-based supports for individuals with developmental challenges.

Qualifications

  • Certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a BCBA (or in process) required.
  • Master’s degree in ABA, Special Education, School Psychology, or related field.
  • Experience developing and implementing behavioral support plans with developmentally disabled individuals using ABA methods.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and complete evidence-based behavioral assessments
  • Formulate function-based behavior interventions
  • Develop and write required reports in a timely manner
  • Present reports and progress updates to committees and parent meetings
  • Measure progress and fidelity for BIPs and Treatment Plans
  • Train staff in treatment sessions, data collection, and assessment procedures
  • Provide team consultation and direct support to classroom teams
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on treatment decisions
  • Provide and oversee crisis intervention services for students
  • Ensure that IEP mandates are fulfilled
  • Maintain all records as required by Summit and governing agencies
  • Adhere to best practice and ethical guidelines

Pay: $58,000 - $62,000 annually

Location: Amherst, NY

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 37.5 hrs./week

Your Impact as a Behavioral Case Manager

The Behavioral Case Manager leads behavioral assessments, develops evidence-based behavior intervention plans, and provides consultation, training, and crisis intervention/support. They oversee treatment sessions and guide Behavioral Support Specialists, working closely with Teachers and clinical leadership to ensure effective implementation of behavior strategies at Summit Academy Enhanced.

  • Conduct and complete evidence-based behavioral assessments
  • Formulate function-based behavior interventions
  • Develop and write required reports in a timely manner
  • Present reports and progress updates to various committees, collaboration groups, and parent meetings as requested
  • Measure progress and implementation fidelity for Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Treatment Plans
  • Train staff in best practice methods for treatment sessions, including implementation of written protocols, data collection, and assessment procedures.
  • Provide team consultation and direct support to classroom teams as needed
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams when making treatment decisions
  • Provide and oversee crisis intervention services for students
  • Ensure that IEP mandates are fulfilled
  • Maintain all records as required by Summit and governing agencies
  • Conduct all duties, responsibilities, and daily activities in accordance with current best practice and ethical guidelines

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) (or in process) required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Master’s degree (or in process) in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, School Psychology, or a related field. Experience in developing and implementing behavioral support plans with developmentally disabled individuals using Applied Behavior Analysis methods.
