Job summary

BBOT is seeking a Senior Manager of BD & Ops to lead business development and operations for a ambitious, science-driven program. This fully remote, nationwide role will own strategic timelines, partner engagements, NPV modeling, and cross-functional execution with clinical development, CMC, finance and the executive team.

You will manage external partnerships, guide program strategy, and drive data-driven decision making while maintaining strong scientific and clinical judgment.

Qualifications

• MD or PhD from top-tier academic institutions or commensurate work experience.
• Operating/program management experience in a biotech startup or top-tier pharma.
• Management consulting or banking experience from a top-tier firm.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to think strategically and execute effectively.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Demonstrate creative 'out of the box' thinking to solve complex technical problems and champion innovative technologies.
• Commitment, drive, and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Set, prioritize and manage strategic objectives and assist with deliverables for team members across multiple functions (clinical development, clinical operations, CMC, finance, strategy).
• Coordinate team meetings, delegate to technical experts, and ensure optimal team function.
• Interpret, collate, and communicate key data findings in a succinct manner to senior management.
• Engage with external partners on business development initiatives.
• Own the NPV model and execute strategic analyses to inform the direction of the program.
• Conduct competitive intelligence initiatives and synthesize competitor data to inform clinical development and strategic positioning.
• Ability & desire to identify problems, locate the resources and find data-driven solutions independent of supervision.
• Roll-up-your-sleeves and ownership mindset, willingness to help out with the varied needs of driving a drug development program forward.
