Job summary

EDP Renewables North America is seeking a Business Development Lead Expert to drive platform-level growth across our distributed generation portfolio. You will identify opportunities in key markets and craft entry strategies while winning new business in C&I, front-of-the-meter, community solar, and BESS.

In this senior individual contributor role, you will lead GTM initiatives, evaluate new geographic markets, and translate market intelligence into growth plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in renewable energy with distributed generation, C&I solar, or energy storage.
• 2–3 years closing complex B2B seven-figure deals ($1M+).

Responsibilities

• Strategic Market Entry and pipeline creation for C&I solar and storage.
• Lead high-value, complex B2B sales cycles to close seven-figure deals.
• Originate and structure JDAs and partnerships with offtakers, developers and suppliers.
• Provide analytical and strategic support during contracting and development of solar and storage assets.
• Partner with greenfield development, policy, and BESS teams to grow pipeline.
• Drive deals through internal approvals and optimize commercial workflows.
