Job summary

Motorola Solutions' Silvus Technologies unit seeks a Senior Business Development Engineer for US Army engagements. The role reports to Applications Engineering and collaborates with engineering and business development to tailor solutions for Army evaluation teams.

The candidate will translate Army requirements into viable, interoperable demonstrations, with up to 50% travel and potential 100% remote work depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience; or HS Diploma with 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience with SDRs, IP-based tactical routing protocols, and tactical communication systems.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months; U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Army Capability Set requirements to map gaps to tactical radio capabilities.
• Lead technical planning, network configuration, and field trials with the BD and Applications Engineering teams.
• Engage Army program managers and warfare centers to translate advanced tech into program requirements.
• Serve as technical anchor for RFI/RFP responses and ensure proposal accuracy and alignment.
• Build trusted relationships with DoD stakeholders and translate gaps into engineering roadmaps.
• Travel up to 50% for meetings, events, and demonstrations.
