Job summary

Motorola Solutions, via its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, seeks a Senior Business Development Engineer for US Army programs. You will translate Army requirements into technically sound solutions, coordinating with Engineering and BD teams to demonstrate interoperability and field-readiness of our tactical communications portfolio.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field with 5+ years experience.
• Or HS diploma with 9 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years engineering experience with SDRs and tactical radios.
• Active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to DoD environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Army Capability Set requirements and map gaps to tactical radios.
• Conduct market research for end-to-end product solutions with partners.
• Design and build demonstrations tailored to the Army.
• Lead planning, network config, and field trials with BD and Eng teams.
• Collaborate to leverage testing data to ensure robust architectures.
• Engage Army program managers to translate capabilities into requirements.
• Align with BD team to set strategic priorities and support needs.
• Serve as technical anchor for RFI/RFP responses and proposals.
• Build advisory relationships with Chief Engineers and evaluators.
• Translate Army feedback into actionable product roadmaps.
• Travel up to 50% for meetings, events, and demonstrations.
