Job summary

Metric Geo in Tampa, FL is seeking a Senior Business Development Director to lead growth in the Florida Water/Wastewater market. You will develop key client relationships, qualify opportunities and lead capture from initial engagement to award.

You will build relationships with municipal owners, engineers, OEMs, and industry partners, identify and prioritize opportunities, and coordinate proposals with cross-functional teams to maintain a strong CRM and pipeline.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of business development, engineering or construction experience.
• Strong background in water/wastewater construction or engineering.
• Understanding of W/WW market and project delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional water/wastewater business development strategies.
• Build relationships with municipal owners, engineers, OEMs and industry partners.
• Identify, qualify and prioritize new project opportunities.
• Lead capture planning, Go/No-Go decisions and pursuit strategy.
• Coordinate proposals, interviews and positioning with operations, preconstruction and marketing teams.
• Track market intelligence, capital improvement programs and competitor activity.
• Maintain an accurate opportunity pipeline and CRM.
• Represent the business at client meetings and industry events.
• Mentor and support regional business development staff.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Marketing or related discipline preferred
