Job summary

WuXi TIDES, a WuXi AppTec company, seeks an experienced BD professional to uncover and cultivate revenue opportunities in oligonucleotide and peptide CDMO services. You will manage clinical-to-commercial accounts and drive new leads across the US market.

Responsibilities include hunting prospects, presenting services, attending tradeshows, following up on leads, and maintaining CRM data. Strong communication, project management, and CRM experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field required
• PhD highly desired
• 4–8 years of experience in oligonucleotide/peptide development or CRO/CMO
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
• Experience with CRM software (Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics) preferred

Responsibilities

• Hunt and prospect for new drug development contacts and companies that would benefit from WuXi TIDES CDMO services
• Obtain conferences and meetings to present WuXi TIDES services to prospective and existing clients via email, phone, and web conferencing; travel to local client meetings where possible
• Participate in tradeshows to raise WuXi TIDES profile and generate leads
• Follow up on leads from sales and marketing campaigns
• Increase awareness of WuXi TIDES marketing initiatives; schedule meetings at tradeshows and promote webinar registrations
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends, funding, regulatory influence, partnerships and market growth
• Develop a social network of industry contacts via LinkedIn and other platforms
• Suggest ideas to improve WuXi TIDES performance
• Document information in CRM including contacts, leads, and new accounts
