Job summary

WuXi TIDES and STA Pharmaceutical, a WuXi AppTec company, seek a US-based business development professional to grow oligonucleotide and peptide CDMO services. You will hunt new leads, manage existing accounts, and collaborate with the US BD team to convert opportunities into revenue.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in oligonucleotide/peptide development or CRO/CMO, a BA/BS in Chemistry with business training, and strong communication, organization, and CRM experience. PhD is a plus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Chemistry required; PhD highly desired.
• 3+ years in oligonucleotide/peptide development or CRO/CMO experience.
• Proven self-starter with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Experience with CRM software (Salesforce or MS Dynamics).

Responsibilities

• Hunt and prospect for oligonucleotide and peptide CDMO opportunities.
• Secure conferences and meetings to present WuXi TIDES services.
• Travel to local client meetings when possible.
• Participate in tradeshows to raise WuXi TIDES profile and generate leads.
• Follow up on leads from sales and marketing campaigns.
• Increase awareness of WuXi TIDES marketing initiatives; schedule meetings and webinars.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends, funding, regulatory influences, M&A activity, licensing, and market growth.
• Develop a social network of industry contacts via LinkedIn and other platforms.
• Propose ideas to improve performance and CRM documentation of contacts and accounts.
