Job summary
WHOOP in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior Battery Systems Engineer to lead architecture, integration, and validation of battery systems for wearable products. You will collaborate with Product, Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, and Manufacturing teams to define requirements, energy budgets, verification plans, and design documentation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of lithium-ion chemistry and battery pack behavior.
- Experience building tests for battery systems and hardware products.
Responsibilities
- Own battery subsystem architecture, requirements, integration and validation.
- Collaborate with Product, Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware and Manufacturing teams.
- Lead charging systems integration, protection, thermal sensing and firmware controls.
- Develop design verification plans, DOE, life testing, and DFMEAs.
- Lead root-cause investigations using field telemetry and data analysis.
- Coordinate with Quality, Manufacturing and suppliers; travel up to 15%.
