Job summary

Amprius Technologies is seeking a Senior Supplier Development Engineer to lead technical engagement with suppliers for battery materials, components, and contract manufacturing. You will qualify and develop suppliers, industrialize new processes, and drive launch readiness from NPI through volume production.

The role requires battery manufacturing knowledge, hands-on supplier troubleshooting, and quality/process control expertise, with travel up to 30–40% as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience taking products from NPI through qualification and ramp with external suppliers.
• Strong battery manufacturing knowledge or related battery materials/components.
• Experience conducting supplier audits to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to ~30–40%.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier selection, qualification, and development for battery materials, components, and contract manufacturers.
• Drive supplier industrialization from initial process assessment through pilot, qualification, and production ramp.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, capacity, and risk to support long-term scaling.
• Collaborate with suppliers to optimize process performance, quality controls, and manufacturability.
• Establish quality planning deliverables including APQP/PPAP, control plans, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, and process validation.
• Support IQC, IPQC, and OQC systems at supplier sites for robust quality.
