Job summary

Amprius Technologies, Inc. in Fremont, CA, seeks a Battery Post-Sales Application Engineer to work with technical leadership and customers on post-sales application development.

You will troubleshoot integration design of battery packs and coordinate third-party testing to bring new solutions to life. This role requires hands-on design-for-manufacturability support, pack-level analysis, and certification activities (UN38.3, IEC62133).

Qualifications

• BS/MS/ME in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing or Integration engineering or related STEM field.
• Experience with battery pack design, manufacturability and testing coordination.
• Understanding of Li-ion battery chemistry, safety protocols and certification processes.

Responsibilities

• Test coordination: oversee battery pack sample tests and track progress across labs.
• Pack troubleshooting: preliminary design for pack configurations and manufacturability assessment.
• Design for manufacturability: site visits and onboarding of manufacturing partners.
• Battery pack failure analysis: teardown to isolate pack vs cell failure; HV systems experience preferred.
• Certification support: data gathering for UN38.3, IEC62133, RTCA DO-311A, or EASA; lead with test houses.
• Thermal design troubleshooting: evaluate thermal performance and safety implications.
