Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Supplier Development, Industrialization & Quality Engineer to supervise the quality performance of battery components and suppliers. Based onsite in Irvine, CA, you will drive APQP/PPAP processes, manage risk, and influence sourcing decisions with data-driven insights.

You will collaborate across Service, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure design requirements are met and May lead international supplier relationships while traveling 50–75% to ensure milestones are

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 3+ years supplier development experience.
Experience managing commodities and understanding economic and technology landscapes.
Lead supplier industrialization and readiness for Battery Components and Systems (battery packs, modules, structure).
Monitor battery warranty and field performance with cross-functional partners.
Technical knowledge in battery assembly, tooling, welding, sealing, and testing.

Responsibilities

Own the quality performance for Battery Pack & Battery Components focusing on Low-to-No Risk (CL3) status.
Proactively identify challenges and propose solutions to remove risks before impact to production.
Lead APQP/PPAP process for assigned parts and ensure on-time delivery of milestones.
Act as technical owner for industrialization of assigned suppliers and sign-off on final quality.
Travel 50–75% domestically and internationally to support suppliers.
