Job summary

Amprius Technologies, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of high energy and high-power lithium‑ion batteries with a Fremont, CA base.

The Battery Post-Sales Application Engineer will partner with technical leadership and customers to drive post‑sales app development, troubleshoot pack integration, and coordinate third‑party tests to bring new battery solutions to life. The role emphasizes design-for-manufacturability, certification data gathering, thermal design troubleshooting, and collaboration

Qualifications

BS, MS or ME degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing engineering, Integration engineering (or a related STEM field).
5+ years of relevant professional experience.
Understanding of Lithium-ion battery chemistry, charging profiles, and safety protocols.
Experience in technical product management within the battery, electric vehicle, aero-astro, drone, or consumer electronics sectors.

Responsibilities

Test Coordination: Oversee battery pack sample test plans for specific applications and track progress across labs.
Cell-to-pack architecture calculations and design for manufacturability.
Document pack qualification feedback and ensure issues are relayed to R&D and Quality teams.
Assist in data gathering for certification and cell/pack level abuse testing.
Battery thermal design troubleshooting and support across performance and safety evaluations.
Timeline management for cell samples and pack-building qualification schedules.
