Job summary

Crescent Solutions seeks an experienced Senior Energy Storage Engineer to lead planning, engineering, design, and execution of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from development through construction and completion.

You will provide technical leadership across engineering, equipment selection, design review, procurement, construction, and project execution, coordinating with management, EPC partners, OEMs, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant engineering experience in battery energy storage or related infrastructure.
• Experience with utility-scale BESS or renewable energy projects preferred.
• Strong analytical and project-management capabilities.
• Ability to review technical drawings, calculations, studies, specifications, and equipment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering and design of utility-scale BESS projects, including battery systems, power conversion equipment, controls, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Review engineering drawings, calculations, studies, specifications, and design packages for technical accuracy, constructability, and overall design quality.
• Identify and resolve engineering issues and recommend technical solutions that improve project performance and execution.
• Develop and review technical scopes of work, equipment specifications, and procurement requirements.
• Provide engineering support throughout development, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project completion.
• Collaborate with EPC contractors, engineering firms, OEMs, and equipment suppliers to successfully integrate major BESS components and systems.
• Provide technical guidance on engineering decisions, design requirements, equipment selection, and system integration.
• Monitor engineering deliverables, project milestones, technical risks, and outstanding issues.
• Support the specification and procurement of major electrical and energy-storage equipment.
• Evaluate technical and permitting considerations and recommend appropriate site and system design solutions.
• Work across multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical challenges involving energy storage systems, electrical equipment, controls, and supporting infrastructure.
• Travel to project sites and other locations as needed to support engineering, construction, commissioning, and project execution.
