Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. is seeking an experienced Base Fabrication & Paint Manager to oversee the daily operations of the base fabrication and paint departments.

You will lead production personnel, ensure work aligns with engineering drawings and project specs, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate has extensive structural steel fabrication and industrial paint experience, plus a proven track record of managing multi-discipline teams in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication, welding, industrial painting, or related manufacturing.
• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or industrial paint.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, work orders, and technical specs.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication and industrial paint processes.
• Experience coordinating multi-department production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for base fabrication and paint departments; set safety, quality, and production expectations.
• Supervise and develop supervisors, leads, fabricators, welders, and painters; manage performance reviews.
• Oversee daily structural steel fabrication operations and paint operations to meet schedules and specs.
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and workflow across departments.
• Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
• Ensure work aligns with approved drawings and project specifications.
• Maintain safety standards and environmental compliance in both fabrication and painting.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Project Management.
