Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. in Houston, TX, is seeking an experienced Base Fabrication Lead to coordinate daily fitting and welding activities in the Base Fabrication department. You will lead a team, assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure parts meet dimensional specs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in metal fabrication with hands-on welding experience, blueprints literacy, and proven leadership, with a focus on safety and quality in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in metal fabrication, fitting, welding, or a closely related manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily fitting and welding activities within Base Fabrication.
• Provide day-to-day direction to fitter/welder fabricators.
• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and other technical documents.
• Inspect completed work and identify defects or dimensional issues.
• Promote safety and maintain organized work environment.
