Job summary

Mesa Energy Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced BAS Controls Engineer to design, implement, and commission mixed HVAC and building automation systems on site in Fresno, CA.

The role focuses on integrating multiple platforms, developing control algorithms, and delivering reliable, user-friendly front-end interfaces. You will collaborate with vendors, IT, and field teams, mentor junior specialists, and help ensure projects meet the contractual scope while maintaining the highest standards of

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience with Siemens Apogee and Desigo.
• Strong HVAC knowledge from unitary systems to central plants.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and troubleshooting HVAC/control issues.
• Good communication skills and IP networking basics.
• Familiarity with BACnet or LonWorks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create control algorithms and download code to controllers.
• Integrate multiple systems and ensure single front end for platforms.
• Lead start-ups, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting BAS controls.
• Coordinate network drops, IP addressing, and monitoring with IT.
• Collaborate with vendors on communication protocols and data integration.
• Generate system reports and verify scope compliance.
• Support final inspections, training, and as-builts.
• Mentor other specialists on automation and HVAC knowledge.
