Job summary

EMCOR Services Mesa Energy is seeking an experienced HVAC controls engineer. You will create control algorithms, download code to controllers, and manage system databases. You will integrate multiple systems so that various protocols communicate through a single front end for multiple platforms.

You will perform start-ups, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of BAS controls and mechanical systems. A strong background in HVAC and IP networks is essential, along with mentoring colleagues

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
6+ years of experience with Siemens Apogee and Desigo.
Strong HVAC knowledge from unitary systems to central plants.
IP networks troubleshooting and basics.

Responsibilities

Create control algorithms and download source code to controllers.
Integrate multiple systems so protocols communicate with a single front end.
Execute start-ups, commissioning, and testing of BAS controls and mechanical systems.
Coordinate network drops, IP addresses, and monitoring tools with IT departments.
Work with vendors on communication protocols and encryption for integration.
Generate semi-complex reports to analyze system operation.
Lead final inspections and end-user training.
Produce as-built control-system documents with latest digital tech.
Mentor other specialists with automation/HVAC knowledge.
