Job summary

Mesa Energy Systems, Inc. seeks a seasoned HVAC/BAS engineer to design and implement control solutions for complex buildings. You will develop control algorithms, download code to controllers, and manage system databases, delivering integrated automation across multiple platforms.

The role requires 6+ years with Siemens Apogee/Desigo, strong HVAC, IP networking, and experience reading blueprints. You will mentor others and coordinate with IT and vendors on system integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience with Siemens Apogee and Desigo.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems - Unitary to Central Plants.
• Troubleshooting HVAC vs. computer/controller issues.
• General understanding of IP networks.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must read and understand blueprints.
• Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (Java, C++).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create control algorithms and download source code to controllers.
• Integrate multiple systems for unified front-end access across platforms.
• Commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting BAS controls and mechanical systems.
• Coordinate network drops, IP addresses, and monitoring tools with IT staff.
• Work with vendors on communication protocols and database requirements.
• Produce reports analyzing system operation and verify scope.
• Lead final inspection, testing, and end-user training on system operation.
• Provide documents to engineering for as-built drawings using digital tools.
• Mentor other specialists in automation and HVAC knowledge.
